The Storysquares app provides users with just enough structure to organize thoughts while still promoting creativity. Users can select to view their story in a linear fashion, a story arc, or a full word processing document.
Writers select templates based on what they are writing, such as "personal narrative," or a "persuasive essay." Within each template, definitions for each element are available, such as for "hook," or "rising action."
Stay tuned for the launch of our classroom feature, giving teachers and schools control of the curriculum, grading, commenting, and supporting students through their writing journeys!
Our goal is to ensure that every student has the creativity and organizational tools to write to their fullest potential. At Storysquares, we believe everyone has a story to tell; they just need the tools to tell it.
Founded in 2016, the Storysquares team came together through the help of our partners, Blackstone Launchpad, 406 Labs, and The Software Factory. We are: Jennifer Sheets, founder and owner; Holly Janssen, educator of 26 years; Nicholas Lux, education professor and research specialist; Walter Funke, graphic designer; Brian Downs, developer; Michael Manning, developer; and Dave Robins, developer.
